After regretting the limited progress in Africa of arbitration as an alternate method of settlement of commercial disputes, contrary to the prevailing practise in western countries, have successively been presented :

. the origins and the various categories of arbitration conventions,

. the organization and functioning of an arbitration court,

. the interactions between domestic courts and arbitration courts on the one hand, international arbitration on the other hand.
